Meet The Team!

Sheri Bicheno

Owner/Editor

Sheri Bicheno Red Death Media

Hello and thank you for visiting our site! :)

A little about me...

Over 13 years of experience within the music industry doing all sorts!

I first starting out with merchandising, merch sourcing, live bookings and Artist management assistance.

I was then taken on at an established Brighton based Metal Festival as their Marketing Director for just over 4 years.

I now co-direct Oxford based Metal Festival Rabidfest, Co own an annual charity Metal event in Brighton known as Crush Cancer and have been running occasional independent live gigs.
I spent around 4 years writing for the great team over at Ever Metal and I currently contribute as a journlist to the fantastic guys over at Metal Planet Music - which has allowed me to interview and review both internationally and within the UK and work alongside multiple record labels and festivals.

I also co manage all online/social media and act as Internal PR for 2 successful Death Metal bands (As The World Dies & Memoriam) and I also help with internal PR for several other Artists (Red Method, Akilla, Crepitation and many more)

I have occasionally dabbled in Artist and event photography as part of my journlism.

I come from a pagan and biker background, so naturally have been into all realms of music since a young age. I am a huge believer in everyone helping eachother to thrive in the music scene that we have - I am proud of the team that we have and I look forward to us all doing all we can to keep both new and established artists on the map!

Take care, be safe, be happy!

I have been in the music industry one way or another for around 14 years. I started out as Vocalist for Rock band Elvis For Jay Playing venues such as The Lomax, Grand, Central, Debees and Bidstock.

We focused on the Liverpool Cheshire area for about 4 years.

In this time I ran a small Production company Called E4J Productions and we ran Live at the Buffs in Runcorn for about 2 years raising funds to keep a local venue open.

Since then I have been in other bands such as Prozero and CorAdCor as backing vocalist as well as SgR as lead vocalist.

When Lock down hit I turned to working remotely on projects for Forthemorningafter and Warlock A.D (Æliána the Eternal) doing a mix of Vocals and Narration, as well as helping to Moderate and take part in the Kash 22 live online Open Mics.

I love to draw and create art when I have a chance and I adore reading new books that nobody has heard of yet.

Needless to say I like to keep busy and thrive on anything creative and artistic.

I work full time as a Training Coordinator covering EMEA and LATAM and I am also a mum of 3 teens ranging from 18 to 15 years old.

I'm a geek through and through. I love Music, fantasy, cosplay and DnD.

I have a wide and varied taste in music and follow many Genres.

There is so much more, but I was told a short Bio not a novel.

I'm looking forward to working with Red Death Media and finally putting some of my networking and writing skills to use.

Chris Barton aka The Blasturbating Freak:

Founding member and current blastbeat coordinating director of extreme metal band Ascaris, I have a passion for fast, furious and aggresive music.

A chance purchase of Decapitateds seminal album "The Negation" at the tender age of 14(ish, I think. It was a while ago) started me on an epic musical journey to explore the blastiest of beats, the nastiest of riffs and the vilest of vocals.

I am excited to join the Red Death Media collective in my never ending quest to hear the sickest of bands.

"I'm very excited to join Red Death Media and strengthen the partnership they have with Unearthed Music.

Having recently joined Unearthed Music as a promoter and band manager, I spend my days both listening to and being opinionated when it comes to music. So, why not utilise it and join forces with hard-working, genuine and awesome people!

I'm known to be very direct. Never shy of words. Cold blunt honesty. I believe feedback is imperative to helping artists grow and thrive, as it has been for my own band.

However, a review isn't just about giving criticism. I'm excited to tell bands what they're doing right and provide the dopamine boost that a pleasurable review gives."

Rick is a legend amongst reviewers and also is a radio show host, lover of 80's horror, books, marmite, and plenty of Earl Grey.

After accidentally stumbling into the world of heavy metal aged 9, nearly 35 years later he hasn't found his way out. ;)

Hey there, I'm Rhys. Residing in South Wales, music obsessive, with a love for everything heavy. I have a wide range of experience in reviewing and reporting back on products and media content. For almost a decade, I have engaged with different companies as a freelance agent outside of my day-to-day job and have worked on many projects, including TV show test screens and commercial product pre-market research.
I am looking forward to this new opportunity and hope to see you all at events in the future
